Music, the 1 a.m. Finish and Our Neighbours

We would rather tell you this now than have you find out after booking.

Why everything ends by 1:00 a.m.

The Castello and Vrachos are both open-air venues in the middle of a residential part of Skopelos Town. Our relationship with the neighbourhood matters to us, so every event ends by 1:00 a.m. That is the whole event, not only the music, and it applies to every wedding without exception. We tell every couple before they book.

What it means on the night

We know both spaces well, and we know how to set the sound: loud and lively where it needs to be, on the dance floor and around the tables, without spilling out into the street. The music can be traditional Greek live music, a DJ, or the two together. In our experience, after a full evening of dinner, drinks and dancing, the 1:00 a.m. finish rarely feels like anything is missing.

    No fireworks at The Castello

The Castello sits within the neighbourhood, among trees and a lot of bird life, so we do not do fireworks or pyrotechnics there. The right music at the right moment does more for the evening anyway.

Questions to ask any venue before you sign

    • Is there a finish time, and does it cover the whole event or only the music?
    • Is that finish time written down before you book?
    • Is there a minimum spend on food or drinks, and what exactly does it include?
    • Are fireworks or pyrotechnics allowed?
    • Who looks after the sound on the night?

Our own answer to the minimum-spend question: there is none. Every wedding is tailor-made, and the cost depends mainly on the season and the number of guests.

If finishing at 1:00 a.m. is a dealbreaker for you, we completely understand. If it is not, tell us about your plans and we will show you what the evening can be.
