Your Ceremony, Your Rules

    Symbolic Wedding
    in Skopelos

A symbolic ceremony is the most authentic way to express your love. No paperwork, no restrictions — just you, your loved ones, and the Aegean.

A symbolic wedding in Skopelos is a ceremony with no paperwork, shaped entirely around the two of you: your own words, your own order. It is not a legal marriage, so couples who want one add a civil ceremony. We arrange it at The Castello or Vrachos, our own venues.

    Frequently Asked Questions

Is a symbolic ceremony legally binding?

No. A symbolic ceremony is not legally binding. If you want legal recognition, you need a civil wedding — either in Skopelos or in your home country.

What can a symbolic ceremony include?

Whatever you choose — personal vows, music, ring exchange, rituals (unity candle, sand, flowers), speeches from loved ones, any type of celebrant you prefer.

    Where is the ceremony held?

Eternal Skopelos organizes symbolic ceremonies at Castello (beneath the medieval castle) and Vrachos (240° panoramic views). Through our network of local partners, we can also explore other stunning spots on the island — let's discuss what fits your vision.

    How many guests can attend?

Our venues hold up to 200 guests. The ceremony can also be just the two of you, or a small group: for 2 to 20 people we close the venue to the public.

Can we plan it from abroad?

Yes. You can plan everything by video call, with video of the venues. We recommend arriving at least 2 to 3 days before the ceremony.

Who leads and coordinates the ceremony?

We do. We coordinate and lead the ceremony with you, around the words and the order you choose.

Can it be held somewhere else, such as a beach?

Our two venues are the usual choice. Another place on the island can be discussed; tell us what you have in mind.

    What does it cost?

We do not publish prices, because every ceremony is quoted after a conversation. The cost depends mainly on the season and the number of guests, and there is no minimum spend. The first conversation is free and without obligation.
